Weekend Update 16 June 2013
Monday June 17th, 2013 12:01:45 PM
In an unusually rare moment for me, I actually got in several hours of writing time this weekend. I used the time not to work on word count, but to finish the outline for my WIP. I’m not sure how good the outline is, but I know it will change as I write so it [...]
New Covers for Short Stories
Monday June 10th, 2013 12:00:37 PM
I’ve been spending some time fixing up the ebook versions of my short stories this weekend. I only managed to finish four of them and upload them to Amazon. You should see the new covers appear early next week for them. While I’m in there fixing up things, I’m also turning off Kindle Select on [...]
Weekend Update
Sunday June 9th, 2013 08:36:38 PM
Saturday I helped coach up the kids on my son’s All Star team during a morning practice. I even got to shag some fly balls during batting practice. That afternoon I worked on the WIP outline a bit more and then spent some time updating the short stories I have on Kindle. This involved choosing [...]

I confess that I haven’t been writing much these past few weeks. I wrote the first quarter of my WIP and then started looking back on it and wondering if I had the right pieces in the right place. I’ve been floundering around in what spare time I have, trying to [...]
The Case for Kobo
Thursday June 6th, 2013 12:00:31 PM
If you are an Indy author, you really should have as much of your inventory on Kobo as you possibly can. I have all of my novels and one anthology on Kobo right now, with plans to bring my short stories over as soon as they clear the KDP Select program and get new covers.
Here’s [...]
Starveyors Paperback Coming in June
Wednesday June 5th, 2013 12:33:19 PM
Presenting the latest pdf proof of the Starveyors cover wrap-around. It’s nearly complete. We’re going to make the space scene a bit more Epic, but the overall design is pretty set now.
This week we’re proofing the interior pdf, trying to catch any last formatting and copy errors. I’ll be ordering a copy proof next Monday. [...]

Weekend Update
Sunday May 26th, 2013 04:37:43 PM
1. I updated the word count for The Rising. It’s setting at 32,329 at this moment in time. I should be able to add to that this weekend.
2. In playing around with Plume Creator yesterday, I noticed that I can put more than one book in the same Plume file. Using this knowledge for good [...]
